Malorie Peters, MN, NP

I was born and raised here in rural Saskatchewan. I come from a large family filled with health care providers. My love for primary care began at a young age as my family operated a personal care home out of our family home in Milden, Saskatchewan. This unique upbringing is where I learned the true art of caring. My mother, a nurse, believed in providing people with loving and dignified care that addressed the whole person- physically, mentally and spiritually. It was this level of empathy and compassion that inspired me to venture into the world of nursing.

I obtained my nursing degree from the University of Calgary in 2010. I then went on to complete my Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Regina in 2018 graduating with great distinction. I have over 15 years in the medical field and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have served in a variety of northern, rural and urban communities throughout Saskatchewan, caring for some of the most vulnerable. I am a proud board member of the SANP and am registered with the CRNS.

Witnessing the heartache and pains of the current healthcare system, I felt inspired to venture into private practice. So many people I know cannot find a family doctor; there are excessive wait times for tests, procedures and referrals and many ultimately feel that their health is not being managed properly. My growing passion for all things primary health care is evident in my drive for continued education. My motto “Knowledge is power” is something I instill in each of my visits. I firmly believe that when my patients are fully informed, they feel empowered and can be great advocates for their own health care.

As I continue to grow in my practice, my goal is to offer an exceptional health care experience to all of those I come across. My easy-going communication style and sweet sense of humour make it easy for patients to feel comfortable and safe. My ability to embrace change with a positive outlook and my passion for my patients’ well-being is what makes me such a great fit here at True Potential.

Aside from work life, to keep balanced, I love music, playing numerous instruments and singing with my husband, staying connected with family and getting out in nature. I live out in the country and have a Great Dane named Leo and a cat named Prince.
