Liver Detox Juice Recipe
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 beet (medium size)
6 celery stalks
1 cup fresh cilantro
1/2 lemon
1 knob ginger
Directions:
Add all ingredients to vegetable juicer. Gently stir juice and consume immediately. If you have a high-speed blender such as a Vitamix, you can also blend these veggies whole with a bit of extra water (you may want to grate the beet and the ginger first)
Beet and Berry Smoothie
Serves: 1-2
Ingredients:
1 small beet, grated or cut into small pieces
1 small/medium apple, cored and cut into small pieces
1 cup of frozen mixed berries
½ cup water (or almond or coconut milk if you prefer a creamier taste)
If needed: ice cubes
Directions:
Blend all ingredients in your blender until smooth. If too thin, add ice cubes; if too thick, add more liquid, until desired consistency is reached.
NOTE: If your blender is not very powerful, you will want to grate the beet to get the best blending.
